Texas Trilogy:

Life in a Small Texas Town

published by The University of Texas Press.  2002

This is the story of one of those small, once bustling, now quiet towns and the county it grew up in, Bosque County, just northwest of Waco.  The story is inspired by Steven Fromholz’s folk music classic, “Texas Trilogy.”  In the songs that comprise “Texas Trilogy,” Steven sings about growing up in the small town of Kopperl.  He tells about his very big childhood in this very small town.  “Texas Trilogy” is a story that rings true not only with his fellow Texans but with small-town folks across America.  Here are just a few of the photographs that help tell this tale.
